Chaka Khan

Chaka Khan, also popularly known as"the Queen of Funk, is a well-known American musician. Through her long career that has been spanning more than five decades, she has been awarded a total of 10 Grammys. Billboard Magazine has ranked her as the 65th best dance artist in history. She was introduced to jazz while she was just a young girl. Early in her career she played with a variety of bands. Later, she joined the group Rufus. As part of the group, she released her first album when she was just twenty-one. The group won their first Grammy award a year later. Then, a few years later, she debuted as a solo artist, and the album was self-titled. Then she released a number of albums throughout the years, including 'Echoes for an Era", 'The Women I Am', and 'Funk This'. She is also known for the work she does for charity. Chaka Khan Foundation, which was established to assist children and adults with Autism as well as families with a poor background. Khan can also be seen as an actor. She played Sister Carrie as the main character in the musical "Mama, I'm Wanting to Sing'. Chaka Chaka Chaka
