Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 the 28th of October, 1967. She comes from the fourth Roberts family that been a resident of Atlanta. It began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was farmer. Her father took keen interest from a young age in stage. While a student at Emory University he appeared in numerous productions in and outside of campus. While stationed at Biloxi, Mississippi, he received his induction into the air force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was also in the production. In 1955, the couple married and in 1956 their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter along with his wife quit their Air Force service in after which they began enrolment with Walter at Tulane University. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of Bum Bum and His Buddies. The show was filmed in Decatur Georgia. Walter along with Betty Lou began producing a children's television program in the city of Decatur, Georgia titled Bum Bum and His Buddies. They financed the production by themselves. In 1964, Betty Lou and Walter founded The Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted 6 years. The couple had another two children. Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also called Lisa) as well as Julia Billingsley (1967) (also also known as Julie).
